The speeds of elevators are directly proportional to the floors they ascend; As the number of floors the elevator reaches increases, passenger elevators are required to be faster. While the standard speed is 2.5 m/sec in buildings such as shopping malls, hospitals, and business centers, speeds up to 8 m/sec can be applied in multi-storey buildings. When determining the ideal speed for passenger elevators used in buildings where people live densely, the number of floors of the building is also taken into consideration. Passenger elevators up to 23 meters, that is, used for buildings with 5-6 floors, are considered standard speed; However, as the number of floors increases, the buildings become multi-storey buildings and the standard speed becomes insufficient here. Buildings from 23 meters to 150 meters are accepted as multi-storey buildings, and the ideal speed for human elevators used in these buildings is considered to be 6 m/sec. Buildings over 150 meters are classified as skyscrapers, and the speed of passenger elevators used in these buildings is considered to be 10 m/sec and above.

Passenger elevators can be produced with or without a machine room. Machine room elevators are old type systems; Apart from the elevator shaft, a motor place is also needed to place the elevator motor system. This system takes up a lot of space in the building and is less efficient in terms of performance than the elevator system without a machine room. Systems that do not require a machine room are new generation elevator systems; They work fast, they are quiet and will be the ideal elevator solution if you have limited space for elevators in your building. In passenger elevator systems, the price is determined depending on the travel distance, capacity, speed, workmanship in the application area and materials used, as in other elevator systems.
